Protecting the Trail Print E-mail

Building the trail was not cheap and now it must be promoted, protected, and maintained. At April's meeting the board of directors gave money for purchasing counters so it can be determined how many people use the trail.  Two trail counters cost approximately $1600. Membership contributions have been used to offer money toward the puchase of a mower as well as printing materials for distribution, and advertisements. The trail offered matching funds for the purchase of the mower because it is used largely on the trail to keep the grass mowed.
